The ever-growing social media platform TikTok launches ‘TikTok for Business’
TikTok has a website whereby it provides marketers of businesses with a variety of tools and resources to use the app for ad campaigns. These tools and resources currently include notes, links, tips, and it’s ‘Creator Marketplace’. Much like other large social media platforms it also includes a self-serve ad platform, although this does not seem to be available in all regions as yet. Users also have access to case studies which allow one to understand how to use TikTok successfully in showcasing their promotions.
Although these features are exciting, they seem somewhat limited at the moment and there has been no word of any expansion of features or into other regions as yet. TikTok for Business promotes the slogan ‘Don’t make ads, make TikToks’ which is simple but clever, but it seems like at the moment, most of the features available for businesses are the same features that were always available for individuals…. for now.
The only hints that have been made are the launch of TikTok’s AR Brand Effects and Partner Program, which allows the activation of visual effects such as Brand product or Brand logo in videos. They intend on partnering with the leaders in 2D and 3D development in order to increase creativity in video creation.
Word on the street is that TikTok is also working on a ‘Business Data Hub’, which we hope will provide more resources for business use.
